ARCHIVE
Sing a long Evening
Remember those campfire songs, in times bygone? We’d like to keep some of those songs alive and are teaching the children some “new” songs, beyond Twinkle Little Star and Baa baa black sheep. Singing is much more fun if it is done together. We invite you to a fun evening of song and music with your child.

Family Earth Walk
Our vision is to inspire an appreciation for the natural world. At Tawa Montessori we focus on connecting our young children with nature as part of their holistic development. We would like to share this connection with the whole family and celebrate Earth Day 2010 with a family bush walk for all of us. The walk through Redwood Bush will take approximately 45 minutes, including stops and is suitable for young children and prams. This is your chance to dust of your walking shoes and unplug your children. Bring a picnic for afterwards. We are looking forward to a huge turnout!
THE TAWA MONTESSORI FAMILY EARTH WALK
When: Sunday 18 April 2010
Time: 11 am - 12 pm
Address: Redwood Bush, entrance Peterhouse Street, Tawa
Latest Envirobulletin
At Tawa Montessori Preschool we have a unique enviro-nature programme for our children. Our outdoor environment is used as a springboard for math skills, reading and writingsskills, social studies and art skills. Our unique naturalised outdoor environment is prepared as an outdoor classroom. Children are busy learning hands-on about the natural world around them, actively participating in gardening, recycling, composting, water saving, animal care and creating natural habitats. You can read more about our enviro programme in our Envirobulletin.
