Experience the flavour of Tawa Montessori Preschool
At Tawa Montessori Preschool we believe in ‘petite-service’, which means the willingness to work on slower rhythm and scale. Through creating and hand-developing our preschool and its programme, we are aiming to give a flavour to our preschool unlike any other early childhood centre, with the warmth of a personal touch, instead of the overhead of a corporate or organisation.
Our goal is to establish a strong family-school partnership for there is no one who knows your child better than you do. We have four different sessions for prospective parents available, giving them an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of our preschool environment to determine if there is a good match between family and school. This family-school partnership is crucial to your child’s success.
Information Sessions - these are available throughout the year and may take anywhere between half hour to an hour and are informal. They are a good opportunity to get a feel of Tawa Montessori Preschool, to see a Montessori classroom, to get some Montessori information, and to have your questions answered. The date of our next information session is advertised on our website.
Parent Information Evenings - these evenings are held four times a year. They give a more comprehensive explanation of the Montessori Method and explain the key elements and different curriculum areas of Montessori. The date of the next parent information evening is advertised on our website.
Observation Sessions - these are available to parents who have attended a Parent Information Evening. We have set dates for these sessions and spaces are limited. Booking is essential. Spaces are allocated on a first come-first serve basis. Please contact us for the next available session and to pre-book. Please note that parents need to have attended a Parent Information Evening before they can attend an observation session.
Parent Workshops - we have regular parent workshops. These workshops are advertised in our newsletter. Parents on our waitinglist are welcome to attend any of these workshops.
Please note that, except for the informal information sessions, our sessions are for parents only, please do not bring children except for infants 6 months and younger.
Tawa Montessori Preschool really is a unique preschool and we encourage you to visit our preschool during one of these sessions.
